THIS FATHER & SON ARE LOOKING FOR A FOSTER HOME
Meet Reggie!
Reggie and his papa, Rufus, have been waiting patiently for MONTHS in a dog pound down south for a chance to join our rescue.
They are now here and being cared for in a temporary foster home. We need to find a more permanent foster home for the two of them.

Time spent in a kennel - having not been afforded the luxury of love and affection has not dampened their spirit, however!
(WHY have they been at a shelter for so long, you might ask? Because this shelter is located in a rural area in Arkansas- and trust me- their chance for adoption down there is about ZERO)
Beyond friendly, they're more than ready to soak up all the love and affection they can get- they are looking for a fresh start with a family who will truly appreciate them the way they so deserve.
We know that there is someone out there who would be perfect for these two- and we are just waiting to hear from you!!
Reggie and Rufus are wonderful boys who are the best of friends.

father and son are both very gentle, even keeled, loving dogs who have a special bond- it's clear that they're happiest being together.
We do not have the heart to split this pair up- so they will only be placed in a forever home together.
We think they're wonderfully unique looking.... not all that common to see black and white Bassets! Get ready to turn heads when walking down the street with this pair!
These dogs adore people, big and small- even babies! They are low maintenance boys who just want so badly to be part of the family.
Perhaps they'd be the perfect pair for you!
URGENT: Reggie needs a temporary foster home, while we work to find a forever home. We cover all authorized medical expenses and other necessary supplies as needed.
You simply provide a safe, loving home!

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.
Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.
Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed.
If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
