Thank you for reaching out to Midwest Animal Rescue (MARS). We understand you have found yourself in a position of having to rehome your pet.
We make no guarantees we are able to take a pet, as we are 100% foster based and need to make sure we have a foster available. We are not a shelter and cannot provide immediate placement.  Please note, we have limited availability to take on non-MARS adopted animals, at this time.
For Adopted MARS Returns:
Please complete the surrender form below in order to start the return process*.
If you would like to learn more about keeping your pet, and learning possible options, please email connect@midwestanimalrescue.org. We'd be happy to chat more with you.

Lost Pets:

- Post flyers in your neighborhood (if allowed) with photo and your contact information. Talk to neighbors; ask them to check their property (garages, sheds, under bushes/decks/stairs, etc).
- Contact your pet's microchip company. They will alert shelters and vets. Always keep your contact information up to date!  If you have a MARS pet, email connect@midwestanimalrescue.org to update contact information and we will take care of this for you.
- In the last place seen, place food and scented items (litter box, your shirt, their bed).
- Post online (Craigslist, Facebook groups, NextDoor, PawBoost, and Petco Love Lost.
- Seek Expert Help – The Retrievers and LostK9. They have many more tips & resources available as well.
