Rambo
Rambo was a sweet little puppy that crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Saturday, October 18, 2008. Rambo and two of his siblings were found at a Corgi breeder's in Texas. We're figuring they were dumped there. The breeder got a hold of MARS to transport the puppies to MN. Rambo endured a long trip to MN from Texas, only to end up with Pneumonia and Distemper shortly after his arrival. It was more than the poor puppy could bear. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge at 1:30 am.

Dora
Unfortunately our sweet Dora did not make it. She will be missed. This is sweet Dora's story: Meet Sweet Dora!!! Dora is a beautiful, 'mature' girl who is looking for a new home to call her own. She was picked up as a stray, and no one came to claim her from the pound. Poor girl!!! She is a very well behaved german shepherd. She gets along with all dogs, (even a fiesty little chihuahua at her foster home), and is no problem with cats. She rides very nicely in the car, is house trained, and has good indoor manners. She can even be left with free roam of the house when no one is home. Please consider giving this affectionate, well mannered girl a new home. She still has lots of life and love to give!!!

Duke
Duke On Nov. 30, 2013, we took in a dog named Duke as our foster boy. He was just 5 years old. We found out a few days after we took him in that he had cancer, so we loved him and cared for him and gave him the best life we could. Every morning when we got up, he would run to me to get a quick morning pet. He just loved the blow dryer after he got his bath. If he heard the leash come out, he'd come a' running. He was just sure it was time for a walk or to go somewhere. Duke was a cuddle bug; he'd lay like a baby in our arms. When I took pictures, he would get in front of the camera and pose, blocking what or who I was trying to take a picture of, he always wanted his photo taken too. Such a happy boy! He was always happy and energetic and you would never know he was sick. Then the last week things changed and he had less appetite, was not as energetic and he was not such a happy boy anymore. Today, March 19, 2014, nothing was right, so it was time. How we will miss sweet little Dukie! We will always love him. He sure gave us lots of smiles and happiness for his short time with us.

Cajun
Cajun - Just the sweetest dog ever!! Sweet little Cajun lost his fight against the ravages of distemper. This sweet boy is a testament as to why vaccinations are so important. Canine distemper is a contagious, incurable, often fatal, multisystemic viral disease that affects the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and central nervous systems. Distemper is caused by the canine distemper virus (CDV). Our sweet boy did not have a fighting chance. We will miss you Cajun! This is CAJUN's story. He came to us all the way from GA. He was saved from the gas chamber on his last day. Cajun was so sad, so utterly petrified in his kennel at the shelter- that we were desperate to get him into a great home- so he could finally be given the love and attention he had gone without for so long! Cajun was a relaxed boy with a calm nature. This little sweetheart was a favorite at the shelter. He had warm brown eyes that seem to smile at you and a gentle tail wag for everybody. He pranced like a SHOW DOG when he walked- every step was so elegant! Cajun was between 6 and 7 months old. He had a very petite stature and was just as cute as can be. He spent his last days in a house full of love. He really was a wonderful boy.

Cassie
Sweet Cassie came to us with her puppies from a high kill shelter in the south. She and her pups loved the fenced back yard and loving foster home they were in. Cassie's life was shortened by darting out her door and unfortunately getting struck by a car. Her foster family and MARS are still grieving her sudden departure from this world, but know she is now free to romp and play and is happily waiting to see her pups and her foster mom someday over the bridge.
