Meet Venny! Venny LOVES to be with other dogs and is currently in a foster home with two well-balanced resident Mini Schnauzers. He would love to have another dog to hang out with. Venny is fine with birds as well - there are two cockatiels in this foster home.
Venny just has to get used to you at first and can be a little shy. No quick movements around this little one. He is better with men so he feels really relaxed around a man - we are working on his relationship with women - and he is doing well. Venny is doing real well on potty training and is kennel trained. He is relaxing more now in his foster home and seems happy.
Venny recently had heartworm treatment and was ALL CLEAR on his 30 day recheck! He will need to remain on monthly heartworm preventative, like all dogs, and is looking forward to living a long and healthy life now.
Venny will need someone that is willing to give him some time to adjust. He would love a home with a fenced yard, though this is not required, and another well balanced dog.
When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.
