Description:
Meet Charlie Brown! Charlie Brown is a sweet little boy who was turned over to a shelter when his owner had to move. After being together for 8 years, he still misses them. He would love to keep you company if you have a little extra room & some love to share! Charlie Brown is a cute little charmer. He’s very calm, but can be a bit of a talker. He loves to snuggle, go for walks, doggie chews, & to have his ears stroked. He will take any chance to snuggle he can get. He sits up with his paws the air when he wants attention. He walks nicely on a leash, little to no pulling. His current favorite chew is a hoof; although he does like Pork Chomps too. He really enjoys having his super soft ears stroked, preferably while sitting in a lap. Charlie Brown has recently had some pee accidents in the house lately only due to an unneutered male foster dog being added to the pack. Otherwise, in general he goes to the back door in his foster home & barks to indicate he needs to go out. He is crate/kennel trained but does not require it if left home alone. He prefers a soft spot to rest like a bed or the sofa rather than his crate/kennel. Although initially hesitant, he has yet to meet a dog or person he does not like but prefers human companionship over dogs. He is good with any person, child or adult, who will pet him. He is NOT good with cats. He barks at them incessantly.
Charlie Brown is more socially motivated than food motivated. He would much rather have a vigorous scratch & be told “you’re a good boy, Charlie Brown” than to have a treat. Not that he turns his nose up at treats either. He responds to the verbal command & standard hand signal for sit (palm out at leg then bend arm up moving palm towards shoulder). He is working on give it, leave it, & off. Charlie Brown can be a bit of a talker. He barks at the door, loud noises, people passing by the big picture window if the curtains are open, if he wants up on something & can’t figure how to get up. He does settle down quickly.
Charlie Brown does not shed much. He is fine with being brushed or having his ears cleaned if he can sit in a lap or be petted while it’s being done. His teeth aren’t currently being brushed. His foster mom uses a chlorohex additive to the water & Leba III spray. He is fine with those. His toenails have not yet been clipped so we don't know how he is with that portion of grooming.
The perfect companion for Charlie Brown will love to snuggle. This is a MUST! They should also have a soft place for him to rest & be willing to take him for walks. If you're looking for a companion that will shower you with love, Charlie Brown is the one for you.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
