Meet Pepper!

Pepper is one sweet young lady; she's just so darn cute and affectionate. Given Peppers age, she's still very much a puppy with a high level of energy to play. She would make a great agility candidate if someone took the time to train her, she's a very smart girl!

She enjoys attention and especially likes belly rubs.  She loves toys and is great at keeping herself busy with them. She's done really well with cats and enjoys playing with dog savvy cats so will do well in a multi-species home.

Once she's done playing, she's happy to curl up on a lap for a nice or in the sun for a long nap.

Pepper needs a home that can keep her exercised and her mind busy. Her favorite games are tug of war and chasing the other dog all over the fenced in backyard. Due to her breed mix, her herding instinct is strong, this also means she sometime's barks to get her playmates attention whether it's a human or four legged playmate. Apartment or close quarters living will not be a good fit for her.

Pepper is good with adults, older kids, other dogs and cats. Due to her herding instincts a home without small children will be best for her.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
