I AM HOME!!!!

Gus is a one year old male great Pyrenees/shepherd cross. He is still all puppy. He is housebroken and knows how to sit. He likes to play chase, and be the one who is chased. He lives with several other large dogs and does very well. He generally does not chew anything he is not supposed to. He loves to play with his two foster sisters. He avoids the boys but watches to see where he will fit in.

Gus LOVES food. He can not seem to get enough. He will eat as long as you let him. He also loves to play with stuffed animals and cuddle any female person who gets close enough. He does not like to be left alone but does fine if with another dog. He ignores cats and small children completely and is a little shy around men until he gets to know them. He walks on leash like a dream and lives to go to the dog park.

Gus wants a home with another dog or person who is around most of the time. He is crate phobic but sleeps fine on a dog bed. If you want a puppy without the housetraining, this is the guy for you. At only 50 pounds and about full grown, you can not go wrong.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
