Meet Chance! This sweet young boy was in a local impound facility. We have gotten him out of jail and in to a foster home. Now he is searching for his forever home! Note from Chance's Foster: Chance is so cute...he knows sit, lay down, off and shake. He is definitely full of puppy energy and loves to cuddle. He loves giving kisses and loves car rides as well as you can tell from some of the pictures!! He is also my little shadow. He likes climbing into my shower and sitting there while I put my make up on and get ready for the day!! Chance is potty trained and kennel trained. He is really good with other dogs, he will play with my neighbors black lab all day if I let him. Recently he spent some time with my little neighbor girls, and loved playing with them. The girls held their hand out so he knew not to jump on them. Chance knows his name and can be off leash. He is also doing better on a leash, and has learned how to take treats nicely. He is a cuddly dog who would love to sleep in the same bed as you, I find that he sleeps in longer if he's on my bed sleeping with me vs. sleeping in his kennel. I don't know if he's good with cats, I'm sure he would be, he'd probably want to play with them. He jumps a little, but with proper training, he wouldn't do that anymore. He's already a lot better at staying when I put his food dish down and water dish. He needs a reminder to stay, but is getting better without a reminder. Chance will make a great addition to any family! When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.
