Meet Cobb named after the shelter that saved this amazing boy. 3 years about he was adopted as Luther and went to live in what he thought would be his forever home (he was just a puppy).

Moving forward 3 years he is living in squalor and has not seen a good meal in weeks. He is just a skinny mess and patches of hair missing. A wonderful policeman saved him and the human children living in the home. The wonderful people of the shelter took him in for months while his owners tried to get the poor guy back. FINALLY he is free of these people and can come to Minnesota to start a new life.

Though this guy was neglected he is a happy, loving boy. The shelter has grown very attached to him over the months and he has gained weight and is growing his fur back. He is good with other dogs and is being tested with cats. He has gone through an amazing transformation and is super excited to find his new home.

URGENT: Cobb needs a temporary foster home, while we work to find a forever home. We cover all authorized medical expenses.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
