Meet Cash

Cash is one cute little guy! He can take a bit to warm up in new places. He loves animal crackers! He would prefer an adult home without big dogs and kids around as they tend to scare him.

He is very small and very sweet! He is not potty trained yet but the foster is working on that. He answers to his given name Max over the name our rescue gave him Cash. Max / Cash weighs 5 lbs and is 11 months old.

He is very shy and was brought into rescue from a shelter in Missouri. Being such a little one and neglected as he was, it's totally normal for him to take a while to warm up to people. We don't know his history before he was in the shelter. He accepts your love and let's you hold him and will give you kisses once he warms up to you. Cash / Max is very sweet, loving and active, loves to run (fast). So a secure fenced in yard would be good.

Another fluffy partner in crime would probably a nice addition to his new home! He would prefer to lay on the sofa and does well playing with non-aggressive / dominant smaller dogs. Plays well and sometimes, he will share his toys. Not sure about kids because he has not yet been around them as of yet. But we do know he is also very good with cats and likes to chase them in a playful way! Cash / Max has a very good appetite and walks well on a leash.

He has some separation anxiety so he does not like the kennel / crate at all. Right now the foster is using potty pads and seems to catch on to that, but does like to go outside and understands that as well. As for grooming, he is good with the brushing and letting the foster touch the bottom of his little paws. So he's getting there!

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
