I have been ADOPTED!! I have a great new family with a wonderful Mom and Dad, a fourlegged cousin who comes to visit and there are these two really curious things that my Mom and Dad call Cats. I think we will be friends soon. I really like them, but don't get to close, cause I am not sure what they think of me yet. I love my new how and walks and am very thankful for such a wonderful life. Thanks Stacie for letting me go to Minnesota to go home.

Jonesy:

Jonesy is a very sweet boy who is approximately 2 years old.

Jonesy has a sad story to tell. He was found tied to a train car and taken to a shelter. He was limping when he came in and was thought to have a "strained" muscle - he was rescued when he was 'out of time' to find out what kind of pain this boy was living with, and for quite some time. He had more than a strain - where normally you have a ball resting in a socket in your hip, this boy's "ball" was sitting on TOP of his socket and for quite awhile too because it had been worn flat on one side. We can only imagine the agony this boy had been in for so long! He has since had surgery, where the "ball" had to be sheared off. He has gone through his recovery and he can walk on that leg now and is no longer in pain!!

Jonesy is a very sweet boy, and doesn't realize how big he is, he seems to think he's a lap dog. Start petting him and he will lean into you for more!

Look at his eyes - they are so soulful. He is very loving and so deserves a home of his own!!

Jonesy does well with other dogs, cats and kids.

URGENT: Jonesy needs a temporary foster home, while we work to find a forever home. We cover all authorized medical expenses and other necessary supplies as needed.

You simply provide a safe, loving home!

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
