Description:

Poor Orville is coming to us from an animal control facility that literally sits on top of an old landfill. Orville didn't ask to be there, he was just a guy looking for a little love. He really didn't anticipate his life ending either but that is exactly what was supposed to happen until we stepped in!

Orville would love to have a human to run, walk or rollerblade with him - interested?

He is an exceptionally friendly boy who loves everyone he meets and loves to give hugs.

A NOTE FROM HIS FOSTER:

If there ever was a "starter-dog" for the first-time owner, Ollie is it! He's house-broken, walks pretty darn well on a leash, kennels just fine for a work day, and is nothing but a love-bug. He very much wants to please and be by your side (if not right in your lap!) for lots of belly rubs and ear scratches. He plays well with other dogs and can even entertain himself with toys, but he also settles down to nap just fine too. He's not food-dominate at all and you can take toys and move bowls of food right away from him. He doesn't quite know his size and is a little clumsy on his feet, so families with little children would need to be attentive until he matures just a bit. But he's so good-natured that it more than makes up for that. Ollie knows a few basic commands and will surely be a quick learner.

URGENT: Orville needs a temporary foster home, while we work to find a forever home. We cover all authorized medical expenses and other necessary supplies as needed.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
