Meet Jacob
*House and crate trained
Jacob was almost overlooked and left behind but then someone noticed this loving boy with a sweet look in his eye standing quietly on the side lines. He has such a great personality we just couldn't leave him behind.
Jacob is crate trained and housebroken. He is not good with cats - he just loves loves loves to chase them. Jacob does really well with dogs that are larger than cats!
He would be ok with older kids - he just doesn't like rambunctious people! He loves to play and would probably enjoy a fenced yard and perhaps a dog or person to play with. Update from foster: I would say he is a snuggler, the first morning I woke up, he was burrowed under the blankets up against me. In fact, now each morning he is there, even though he usually won't venture upstairs with the rest of us. He also really loves car rides and walks, quite friendly, but seems to be a little bit more apprehensive around men initially. I got him a sweater today, and he eagerly let me put it on. he is a sweet, funny boy with an interesting independence. he will come get me and lead me to where the treats are stored, and dance and hop and wag his tail like crazy.
Jacob would love a family of his own that will love and care
for him like he desires and deserves.
Do you have room in your home and heart
for this fun and loving boy

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
