Hi, my name is Henry.

I'm not sure how I ended up at the dog pound in Iowa, but a nice lady took me out and now I'm at a foster home. I was transported to Minneapolis where another loving foster home was waiting for me.

You might think I don't look like an English Pointer because someone docked my tail, but I'm all Pointer at heart. I love dog parks and am everyone's friend. Right now I have a crush on my foster sister who is a chocolate lab mix, but we're both going to be "going to the vet" soon so I don't think it will be a very fruitful relationship.

There are lots of dogs at my current foster home, including some little itty bitty ones, and other big guys, like me. I'm doing fine with everybody.

A nice lady took me to the cat room at the local pound to try to test what I thought of cats. I have to tell you, I didn't really care about the cats. I just wanted to go play with some of the other dogs!!

I am very friendly, but a bit sensitive-- someone in my past wasn't very nice to me, but I'm not holding that against anyone or anything. I am a pretty active dog, who would do well with a safe place to run. My human friends say that a fenced yard would be good, or a trip just about every day to the dog park so I can run off all my energy!

I also love car rides. Won't you be my new love?

An update from Henry's Foster:

Henry fits in really well with the family. He gets along with the little dog, the big dog, the 4 cats and loves the 10 year old boy. He hasn't had any accidents in the house, he chews just like most dogs. He not any more hyper than any other young dog. He minds and is easily trained. He walks pretty well on a leash. Sort of a clodhopper but I'm sure thats do to youth. He's just a real lovable family dog. Good, lovable temperament.
