Meet Vinnie!

Hi! My name is Vinnie and I’m about 2-½ years old. My people are not sure how I am mixed but they think I’m part Chihuahua, possibly part Rat Terrier or JackRussell, and definitely part Awesome. I’m about 11 pounds and my main goal in life is to snuggle and love you as much as possible.

I’ve moved around a lot I’m kind of shy and skittish at first but I promise I’ll warm up to you once I take a look around the place. I do like other dogs and can be a little bossy at first, it’s only because I’m nervous. Once I figure out the family dynamic, though, I will respect, love and play with the other dogs in the house, boys and girls!!

I have my own kennel and blanket, and I sleep in it really well at night and you go to work. While I’m kenneled I hold my potties really well. Once out of my kennel I could use some practice so please give me a chance to get on your schedule.

I can’t wait to meet you!

Update from foster family:
The foster family said Vinnie adores their son who is 13; he gets
along well with their cats, and he sleeps nicely in his kennel at
night. He follows Mom around the house and hops on her lap to snuggle
anytime he can. He loves going for walks. He would love to find a
forever family.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
