Description:
Mya is a beautiful young 2 year old doberman pinscher with a docked tail and cropped ears. She weighs 62 lbs.
Mya is a sweet girl. Like many dobies she's reserved at first. You have to earn her trust. After that she's very loving and well mannered. Mya has lived in the past with 2 poms, had a doggy door to the fenced in yard, and free run of the house. She tends to favor women over men. She also enjoyed the baby pool/lake and we were told she jumped in the past owners in-ground pool when it was still warm out. She didn't want to be left out of all the fun.*UPDATE* Mya just arrived at her foster home. She did great on the car ride home. She had a bath, ear cleaning, and nail clipping and tolerated it just fine even though she is very nervous to be in strange new surroundings. She is super sweet and will gently nudge my hand for attention. She's been exploring the toy basket and seems to really like her toys. Her curiousity won out over her fear and she's found the courage to explore the house and yard as well. Mya is skittish and for her safety a fenced in yard is preferred. She gets along great with all dogs, big and small. Even the resident male doberman grouch likes Mya! She will need another confident resident dog in her forever home. I believe a quieter home without small children would be best for Mya. She is completely house trained but she hates being crated. The good news is she seems to be well behaved enough not to need a crate. We are giving her free roam without any problems.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.
