Interviewer: What was it like to be rescued by MARS?
Gloria: I didn't understand exactly what was going on. One minute I was running down this street with a really big chain around my neck, the MARS people said the links were over an inch each, I don't know much about that, I just know it was really heavy, I don’t understand why the people did that to me, had they showed me love, I wouldn't have run away. Well; as I said, I was running down the street and some humans approached me and put a leash, I think that is what they called it, around my neck. It was much easier on my neck and they were nice so I was happy. Is that what being rescued is?
Interviewer: Tell us more about your journey and foster situation?
Gloria: First, they had to keep me in limbo for a week so if the people I used live with, I call them my Humans, tried to find me they could get me back. Nobody tried to find me; But MARS said I was sweet and beautiful so they would take me. But then they couldn't find any fosters with available room, I even told them I wouldn't take up much room. But they just couldn't find me a place in Minnesota, So I went to Wisconsin for a while. It was OK I guess. Then a couple of weeks ago, they found me a temporary home to take good care of me and I was picked up again by the Human that rescued me and brought back to Minnesota, I like Minnesota and was happy to be home. When I got here I went to a house with 3 other dogs and 4 cats. I like the dogs, but the cats do not interest me. But more than the dogs, I just really like to have people around.
Interviewer: What is you typical day like?
Gloria: We get up early and go out to go potty, I am proud to say I'm completely potty trained. I would be way too embarrassed to go potty in your house. I'm very smart and super eager to please, so if you can spend time to train me I will make you proud. Oh back to my day, next we eat breakfast and go back out for one more potty break and then the humans have to go to work. The humans finally return and we are free to play inside or out till dark, oh yeah we get dinner also. The best days are when they take us all for a walk. First we all pile into the Truck, I love to go for rides, and then we go to a trail and go for a nice long walk. I love the walks. We meet people and bikes and even other dogs on the trail. My foster Momma says I'm better behaved then her own dogs and we get lots of complements on how cute we all are. I know I'm the most cute of all of them.
Interviewer: What are you looking for in a Human companion?
Gloria: To be honest, someone that would not be gone too much. There is so much I want to do with my human, I want to play fetch and actually have a chance to get the ball. The other pups I live with don't want to share and don't let me have a chance to get the ball. I like the walks and the rides and want to do more of that. Then when we are tired I would like to lay by you on the couch if you want me to, or by your feet. I get a little nervous when I'm left alone a lot, especially if I don't know you very well. I know it's silly but I get a little afraid that you are not going to come back to me. I'm working on this fear and sometimes I feel better if I can find a pair of your underwear to steal. I know you can't go too far if I have your underwear.
Interviewer: So where do you go after this?
Gloria: There is only one way for me to go; into a great loving home. I have so much love and want so much to share it with someone and of course their furr friends!

*The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person! If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called "cute" as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification!
