Description:
Meet Mork
He likes people, kids, dogs, cats, and just about anything that walks or moves, and is always ready for a tummy rub. He loves spending time laying around the house, but is always available to go for a walk.
He seems to be nicely housebroken. He came to us without knowledge of basic obedience like 'sit' and 'stay', but is quickly learning the most common commands and is quite good when on a leash.
He spends the night in his crate and has adapted very well to going into it without complaints. He is very food motivated, which helps in his learning, but does not beg while people are eating. It's important for him to have something chew-approved near him at all times, as everything looks so tempting to him.
He has gotten over his initial shyness around new people and is now quite happy to meet new people when we go for walks. He still has a strange shyness around cameras, but other than that he is blissfully content in any situation.
Mork would do very well in a home with another canine companion, for while he loves human affection, as he prefers playing with dogs and is constantly looking to our resident dog to learn proper dog behavior.
Please click on the ADOPT button below to fill out an online application. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
