CHARMER *HOUSETRAINED *NON-BARKER *GREAT WITH CATS AND DOGS *GREAT WITH KIDS Charmer is an all-around perfect dog!!! Nothing seems to bother him… he enjoys just being around his family. I have never met a dog that doesn't bark or talk of some kind. My cats talk more than him! Excellent with cats, never chases and very friendly with other dogs. Charmer is wonderful with my kids who are 9, 7, 5 and 3 years. My 3 year old likes to handle him a lot but, he deals with her very well…never nips or growls. If he has had enough he will find a spot to curl up out of the way or lay in his kennel. He does not sleep in the crate unless he goes in by himself for quiet time. He will go in, with a little resistance but prefers to be out. Charmer is housetrained. Charmer would be ok for an 8 hour work day. He is a very relaxed dog. He sleeps a lot and just enjoys being a dog. He is nice on the leash, he does pull a little on his walks from his nose guiding him but with a little correction on the leash he listens. He is working on the “sit” command. We do the potty thing on a leash as well, not sure he likes the cold and wants to be by the door instead of doing his business. He is good in the car without the crate, too. Do not leave food out where he can reach or jump up onto something to reach it. He's got a great nose! A daily walk is adequate for exercise. His favorite things to do are relaxing by your feet or on your lap/couch (if you allow that) ear rubs, walks and playing with other dogs. He is ideal, you can't help but love him; he is beyond sweet! He comes when you pat your leg and is a good listener when he hears "no" . Not at all hyper, never gets excited just always happy and content.
