Description:

Princess stuck in her friend's castle!

My name is "Princess Bella"

Can you believe that I have been waiting for my own castle for almost a year now? Yes it's sad but true! I love my host family but it's time for me have my own castle.......

I love playing with my boxer friend Prince Fritzgerald, he and I run circles around the castle daily, he's my best friend! I don't have any girlfriends, I always try my best to make friends with girls and they just don't like me for some reason..... I've been told it's because I smile like Julia Roberts!

My foster mom wants me to give a little confession, sometimes I like to sneak things off of the counter that don't belong to me when I'm bored. I try to look at Fritzgerald when they call us into the room for an explanation like he did it! However that never works......

Every night I cuddle up with my foster dad on the couch and he says "have faith Bella darling you will have your own castle soon".

I've heard that I need to go to a home with a strong pack leader. Hey, if no one else seems to want to be the boss, I will be! Apparently dogs aren't supposed to be the boss of people.

I love teenagers because they like to sleep all day and drive me around with to fun places like Mc Donald's or Dairy Queen! Homes with small children are not a good fit for me, their too easy to push out of the way when I want to go outside on an adventure.

XOXO,

Princess Bella

UPDATE FROM BELLA'S FOSTER: Bella is hoping to find her forever home before we go on vacation at the end of September. She really doesn't want to have to bounce around to a new foster home and back. Bella has never had an accident in the house, and is crate trained. She knows sit, down, shake and is working on roll-over. She is a very intelligent dog and needs mental stimulation. Without it, she will get bored and start looking for things to get in to. She would make a great agility dog.

When we take Bella to PetCo, she wants to greet everyone there. She thinks that they are there to visit her! She walks in with a big grin on her face, and prances around the store. Since she is so beautiful, she gets a lot of attention. When she is really happy at home, she does a somersault at your feet, so she can get in position for a belly rub.

Bella really enjoys spending time outside. She loves to run around and burn off energy, and then saunter around checking out the entire yard. A fenced yard is a requirement for her forever home. Bella is also learning to run next to a bike. As long as I keep talking to her, she doesn't get distracted and does very well. She really enjoys the extra exercise.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters.

How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.

Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed.

If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
