*NEEDS A SPECIAL HOME!* Meet Cola! Cola is one of the worst cases of neglect we have seen... She lived her life in an outside pen with no medical care, little food and no socialization. She was so matted her skin was tearing away from her body. She has since been shaved and her skin sewn shut in a few areas. Cola is also blind. Her eyes had deteriorated to absolutely nothing so she underwent surgery and had them removed and her sockets sewn shut. Through all of this, she is the most trusting and loving dog someone could ever meet! She has a lot of love to give and so deserves to live the rest of her life as someone's beloved pet. Update from foster: Cola's foster mom has fostered over 200 dogs & has this to say: Cola is the sweetest girl ever! She loves to venture outside, lifting her head to catch every scent in the air! She walks cautiously enough to avoid bumping into things, but that doesn't stop her from searching out every inch of the fenced yard. A whisper of her name & her little ears perk up & she trots right over to me, ready to be held & hugged! Cola loves to burrow in a warm bed with a stuffed animal, but her favorite thing of all....belly rubs!! And no dog enjoys mealtime more than this little peanut! Cola is quiet, calm, happy & will have the same affect on you! This precious angel deserves only the very best forever home! Cola's current foster adores her, but thinks Cola would do best in a home with less dogs and someone who is home more.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.
