Description:
Meet Barbie!
Barbie is VERY sweet, adorable and loving. She would be an EXCELLENT companion
Barbie is the cutest little girl. She is very sweet and walks well on a leash. Due to her small size she should be placed in a home with older or no young kids. She gets along just fine with other dogs.
Barbie gets along well with dogs. Barbie has not been around any cats. She does a great job with children and has been around children ages 4 and up. She loves attention and cuddling, but if the younger kids overdo it, she will go hide. Barbie is a true lap dog.. She is content with the two legged people. She does enjoy a short daily walk, but is very mellow and really likes to stay by her people and cuddle. She will make someone an excellent companion. Barbie is mostly housebroken. She has the occasional accident if the weather is bad and she doesn't want to go outside. She does well in crates and will hang out in her crate with the door open. She is trustworthy enough to be left alone for a workday without any problems. She walks well on a harness leash. She still gets a little spooked by loud noises when she is out walking. She definitely listens when you call her name. The only time she barks is when she sees that dinner is about to be servied or there's a treat coming. She LOVES to eat. One of her favorite things to do is gather her blankets and doggy bed, or whatever she has available, and fluff it all together, then lay on it- It is adorable! Do you have room for Barbie? She wouldn't mind coming home with you. To adopt Barbie, please complete one of our on-line applications by clicking on the adoption button below.
Thank you!
When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
