Description:
Hi, my name is Lisa. A really nice group of volunteer drivers took turns
driving me to Minnesota so I could find my forever family.

Now I am living in a foster home with a 7 month old puppy, a cat and a bird.
I love to play with the puppy and I like to go and find the cat and then run
and let my foster mom know that I found the cat. I try and play with the cat;
but she is not any fun. I have more fun with the balls and toys at my foster home.
I love to play toys and will play fetch with you..until I get tired of fetch.
Then I just want to be in your lap kissing you or snuggling with you.

I like to go on car rides with my foster mom. She doesn't take me much
because it is too cold out right now; but she does take me for walks which I LOVE!!
I make my foster family laugh because I do somersaults in the snow. I also run
very fast at the dog park and the other dogs can't catch me...
I can turn around and run past them and it is great fun.

I wag my tail in hopes that people will come down to my level and say hello.
Anyone willing to come down to my level and greet me earns my devotion.

My foster mom says I am part Cattle Dog, and since she has no cattle she says Squirrels
will have to do, I love to guard the yard against squirrels and I get a great big smile
on my face when I have successfully chased a squirrel out of the yard.
It makes my foster family laugh out loud. I hope to find a family with a yard that I can
protect. I hope my new family will play with me and love me and laugh at me when I do
my somersaults in the snow. I hope someone adopts me before the snow melts so they can see
me be silly in the snow.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters.

How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.

Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed.

If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
