Description:

Rocky is approx 5 to 6 yrs old. He, along with his best bud Max, came from a hoarder in southern Mn. They look so similar that it is almost impossible to tell them apart!

Both boys were very timid when they first arrived because all they knew was a dark and dirty pole barn with tiny kennels and a cold concrete floor full of urine and feces. Parts of their ears are missing from being chewed off by other dogs but they don't seem to mind, they are just happy to be saved!

You would never believe these boys used to live in such a horrible place. Since being rescued, they have learned to love and trust humans and are completely different dogs. They are both outgoing, love people and attention and follow thier rescue mom EVERYWHERE!

They are kennel trained, good with other dogs and they don't chase cats! They love kids but really need to go to a quiet household with kids over 10 that are respectful and gentle. They are NOT chewers or diggers at all. They walk great on a leash and can often be found smiling and wagging their tails while out for a walk.

URGENT: Both boys need a temporary foster home, while we work to find a forever home. We cover all authorized medical expenses.

You simply provide a safe, loving home!

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
