Description:
Meet Conan! This Great Pyr has the absolute cutest, MOST UNIQUE FACE in the world! LOOK AT HIM!!! He's 2 years old, 110 lbs. His former owner got sick and could no longer care for him which is why he was given up. He's housebroken, knows sit, stay, down, and shake. He's lived with both cats and dogs and gets along extremely well with both. In his former home he slept in bed with the owner -- with us he has his own bedroom that he stays in. He's EXTREMELY gentle and absolutely loves everyone -- just a fantastic temperament and I've never even seen him show anything that could even be remotely construed as an aggressive tendency. (You can take food away from him, treats out of his mouth -- anything.) His former owner listed his favorite treats as ice cubes, frozen carrots and other frozen vegetables. He does seem to enjoy cold things as we've frozen a few things for him: bananas, peanut butter kong etc,. and he really likes it. He's very good in the bathtub, VERY good on walks and well mannered all around. Doesn't chew as long as he has access to treats etc. He isn't kenneled and has use of the bedroom while we're gone and is very good. His guard dog tendencies aren't very strong as he loves EVERYONE -- he seriously acts as though everyone he sees is his long lost best friend even if he's never met them before. He's fairly quiet in the yard unless he sees squirrels, dogs, people etc. He's neutered, has all of his shots and is microchipped (I have his form with me). There is no doubt that Conan is going to make some lucky family very happy! PLEASE CONTACT SARA email: Lydon216@aol.com to make arrangements to meet this fantastic boy! When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
