Description:
Miko is a 14-week-old puppy with impressively good manners for his age. He is housebroken, sleeps through the night in his crate after a short settle, and understands how to live in a home. He respects other dogs, responds well to correction, and is generally a quiet pup, only giving a brief alert bark before settling again. He doesn’t jump, beg, or counter surf, and is eager to please. Miko is food-motivated, already knows “sit,” and naturally sits when he wants something or comes back inside. He enjoys chew toys and playful puppy energy, but also loves to snuggle and relax with his people. Miko is brave with new experiences, trustworthy out of the crate, and happy to nap on the couch while you’re nearby. He’s a smart, affectionate puppy who will thrive in a home that values both playtime and cuddles. If you have previously applied with us please email placement@midwestanimalrescue.org to reactivate your application with new interest. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. We accept Credit cards, Debit cards as well as cash. At this time we do not accept checks. Our Adoption fees for all animals cover required vetting: which includes, Rabies, Distemper Vaccine Series, Bordetella, Deworming, Heartworm Test as age appropriate, Spay or Neuter and Microchip and registration. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
