Species: Cat Breed: Domestic Short Hair / Mixed Sex: Female General Potential Size: Small Current Age: 2 Months 24 Days (best estimate) Declawed: No Housetrained: Yes Description: Meet Popcorn (aka Poppy) – The Bubbly, Bouncy, Chatty Cuddlebug!
Hi, I’m Popcorn—but you can call me Poppy! My name suits me perfectly because when I play with my brothers, I hop, bounce, and pounce like a little kernel popping with joy. I may be the smallest of my litter, but I’ve got a big personality.
I’m not shy about telling you exactly what I want—whether it’s food, cuddles, a cozy lap to nap on, or some good ol’ fashioned back and neck scratches. If you think kittens should be seen and not heard… well, I’m probably not your gal. I’ve got opinions, and I’m not afraid to share them (adorably, of course).
I’m super sweet, friendly, and love being around my people. I thrive on attention and affection! I’ll greet you and instantly purr when you enter the room and happily curl up in your lap the moment I’m done with my zoomies and snack time… and stay there for hours.
I adore playing with my siblings—even if they’re bigger and a little rowdy. I hold my own with sass!
If you’re looking for a kitten whose equal parts playful, snuggly, and delightfully vocal, Popcorn is ready to pop into your life and make every day a little more joyful. * Kittens under 4 months tend to do best in homes with another cat or kitten for socialization. If you have previously applied with us please email placement@midwestanimalrescue.org to reactivate your application with new interest. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
