Description:
What’s better than an adorable puppy? An adorable puppy who is potty trained, sleeps through the night, and wants nothing more in life than to be your best friend! Meet Rooster, a truly great (and unbelievably cute) pup from Missouri.

Rooster’s got classically good looks and a charming personality to back it up. This sweet boy is curious about the world around him and will be your ever-present companion as you go about your daily routine.
Your heart is sure to melt when he asks for cuddles or shows his playful personality with a round of the zoomies. In addition to having a perfect potty record, Rooster is very quiet and would make the perfect restaurant or brewery companion for all your dog-friendly outings. He can be a little timid with new faces, but warms up in a matter of minutes and is happy to be pet by all those around him once he’s settled in. Rooster is doing well with crate training while he learns which household items do not double as chew toys, and he is making strides towards the goal of having free roam of the house.

Rooster is a very sociable pup who loves playing with other dogs and should be taken to the dog park regularly if going to a home without another dog. He has not interacted with cats or children, but his generally calm demeanor leads us to believe he would likely be harmlessly curious about a cat and good with kids when given proper introductions. We know he sounds perfect (and he really almost is), but please remember that Rooster is still a puppy who’s learning the rules and needs a little guidance to become your perfect companion.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters.

How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.

Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed.

If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
