Description:
Hi! My name is Cody and I'm looking for my forever home! If you have a lap and would like rubbing my belly, I'm the boy for you! I love to run around with my foster sister and wrestle with her, but it's okay because she's only a little bigger than me. When I'm at the dog park and a big dog comes up to play, I get really scared and growl so they'll leave me alone! Then I wait for smaller dogs to come over to play with. I haven't been around any cats, so I don't if they are good playmates or not. I've played around with my foster niece who's four and we got along great, but I'm not sure how I would react to kids who try to play rough with me. So maybe I would like a home with older children who know how to respect me and won't play too rough? Also, a man must have been mean to me when I was younger because it was hard for me warm up to my foster dad, but he's really nice and reassures me that all men aren't bad! My foster mom says I'm the cutest thing and that she'll cry when I leave, but she knows that there is someone out there that will love me just as much she does! She is working with me on potty training, and I've made huge improvements from when I first got here! I still need to be kenneled when she runs to store, because sometimes I think I'm only not supposed to go potty in the house when she is around! I sleep in a kennel next to my foster parent's bed, but I would LOVE to able to sleep with them! I love pillows and I love to curl up like a ball next to my foster mom so she can pet me while I fall asleep. I've learned my name and to come when called, and when my foster mom pulls out the treats after I come inside from going potty, I get so excited! Then I sit and freeze like a statue, because I know she won't give me a treat while I'm jumping up and down! I'm a super cute little boy who would love to have you love me! Could you give me my perfect forever home? I promise to love you and give you plenty of kisses! Please feel free to fill out an ADOPTION APPLICATION on our main website, www.midwestanimalrescue.org, by clicking on the Form/Applications link under Website Features. Thank You! When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
