Who’s looking for a great dog? Meet Edgar (Houdini). He's a Husky mix about 5 yrs old, needs some groceries at only 62# and he’s waiting for his grooming appointment. He seems pretty chill for his breed. Although in typical Husky fashion this boy has some sneaky tricks up his sleeve. Such as opening doors… We are guessing this skill is what landed him at the shelter because he has a seriously awesome personality. He loves squeaky toys and to be brushed. He is good with young kids, men,women, you name it. He's great on leash, knows to sit and shake. Seems housebroken too. He has done ok in the kennel so far but would definitely prefer to be where the action is. At the shelter he was housed with another dog and showed no issues. He is still figuring out “snow” but we are pretty sure once he does it will be game on! When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.
