Meet Rita!

She is arriving from a rural breeder and is a happy little girl just looking
for her new forever home. Wil it be with you?

Update from foster home:
Rita, who we are calling Pixie, is doing great! Pixie's super sweet personality is really coming out! All it took was a week or two to get used to living in a house, and being part of a family.
Potty-training seems to be taken care of - no accidents in the last 10+
days! Pixie definitely enjoys playing with our other dog, but would be
fine without a furry friend too. Once she feels safe, she bonds to you
secure - and seems to enjoy human companionship as much as another dog.
She's a constant shadow and LOVES TO SNUGGLE. She's getting used to the
chaos that kids bring - but does shy away from them when they're
rambunctious. She loves rawhides, chew-toys and bones, but doesn't
appear to be a chewer of household items. Barks only when appropriate:
mailman approaching the house, dog walking by. Pixie has some
interest in our cat, but knows enough not to mess with her. She will be
a wonderful best-friend to whomever adopts her!

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
