Meet Miss Bailey!!

Miss Bailey is a sweet, darling little dog who had outlived her usefulness at a puppy mill. Poor baby! An ideal home for Miss Bailey will include lots of love and time to be with her. Miss Bailey has known much love and happieness in her life before the puppy mill and we would like to see that she continue on with the rest of her life in such a life style!

Miss Bailey was brought to a puppy mill when her first family couldn't care for her any longer and she is now considered too "aged" to breed (aka get pregnant). We were contacted to see if we could help as an alternative to death. Puppy miller's don't exactly enjoying feeding a dog that doesn't "produce" anymore! When Miss Bailey came into our rescue, we could tell right away that she was missing her former "pillow life". Her grooming had also been neglected while in the puppy mill and was graciously groomed by a rescue volunteer who's a groomer professional by trade. There were too many tangles to comb out, so Bailey got a clipper cut.

Miss Bailey is a joy. She is house trained, house mannerly, knows that laps are meant to be sat in, and that a fenced yard is alot of fun! She gets along with my resident dogs and two cats, and is a silly playful girl! She had her teeth cleaned back to a pearly white, and is now spayed as well as micro chipped for her safety. She's healthy, happy, and ready to bring joy into her new home.

Miss Bailey sleeps in an open doored crate, in a laundry basket or on the rug; the choices are all hers now that she has been living in freedom! Her foster mom has never shut the door on the crate and there hasn't been a need to do so. She is a perfect house mate! The resident dog thinks she is very sweet and even lets her share his milk bone! She gets along very well with cats as well.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
