Meet Heaven!

Heaven is a very sweet, and loving pup! She has a wonderful personality and gets along well with everyone.

Heaven came into MARS with her sister and loved life as a puppy. Sadly, somehow she broke her leg which required an orthopedic surgeon to put it back together again and a lot of strict crate rest to ensure it healed. Well, Heaven got her cast and cone off and has busted outta crate rest and is ready to live the puppy life again!

Now that she's coming towards the end of her healing, Heaven needs someone who will take short walks with her, working up to longer ones, to build up her legs so that she can be the sprinter she longs to be! She still needs a bit more bone healing time so no dog parks or busy play time yet. That will come in time.

Because of the crate rest, Heaven is learning that the outside world is where dogs go potty. Her crate rest was so strict that she was in her crate for about 23.5 hours a day and when it was time to go potty, she didn't want to waste her precious out time on business...she wanted to play! Play time wasn't on the acceptable to do list so she got really good cuddles.

Heaven will be an awesome best friend for someone who is ready to bond with her during the final phase of her healing.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
