(More information here:  http://www.midwestanimalrescue.org/info/events)

Hi I`m Venus as in the Godess of Love:

Not sure why, but one day my human put me in my crate in the garage, closed the door, and left. I waited & waited then waited some more my human never came back, I was more hungry and thirsty than you could ever imagine.

Finally, one day the garage door opened, I was so happy, but to weak to really show it.
I met this real nice lady who kept taking me to the Vet and loving me, I wasnt hungry or thirsty anymore and could go potty outside like I`m suppose to. Oh yeah feeling stronger
every day.

I really love people and I`ve met lots of other animals like cats, birds and othes dogs,so farI like them all.

I guess I need a new home now.  Will you give me a chance and let me love you? All I ask is for you to LOVE me back. Please give me a chance, I promise I`ll never make
you feel like you were left in a crate in a garage.

Take a second and fill out an application for me, I cant wait to meet you.

Love,

 Venus

AN UPDATE FROM HER FOSTER:

She is the most excellent cuddler ever! (Although a bit of a space hog) She loves everyone and everything! Other dogs make her bark ferociously but she seems to really, really just want them to play. Cats do not find her the most inviting but she loves them and persistantly plays gently with them. She likes to stand up on her hind legs at the window and watch the birds eat. She is excellent with children and mostly (sometimes needs reminders) sits well for them so they will approach her. It's very hard to not wiggle though as greeting new people makes her very excited.

She really is a doll and will love anyone that will give her love.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters.

How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.

Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed.

If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
