Please meet Magical Mister Merlin. Merlin arrived in Minnesota during Memorial Day weekend from a shelter in Ohio; he had a tough road there and has had a tough road since. This sweet boy came to Minnesota with kennel cough and severe pneumonia. He has bravely fought the sickness in his respiratory system while being a sweet and loving boy the entire time. Each day he greets his foster family with tail wags and kisses. His recovery has truly been magical.he was certainly named appropriately! He is a complete snuggle buddy who wants nothing more than to love and be loved.

Merlin is looking for a loving home and family to play with him, watch TV with him, run (fast) with him, and snuggle with him. Merlin is pretty good with children and cats. He will need guidance to learn how to play gentle.he's been weak so long he forgot his own strength! He would do best in a home with a secure fenced yard that he can run and play catch with you in. Merlin is a tall, lean Am. Staff boy who would make someone a great running partner.he is a speedy one! He walks well on a leash and obeys beginner-level obedience commands. His beautiful brindle markings and perky ears draw the attentions of so many; they are markings of distinction to initiate love on him.

This special boy will be available for adoption in mid-July. Once he is fully healthy again, he is free to go to a loving family to play, kiss, snuggle, run, or whatever he pleases. Merlin is a young dog that has many years and much love to give to that special family. Will you be that special family? You must meet Merlin to truly appreciate his magnetic and magical presence! When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
