Meet Georgie!

Georgie is doing GREAT -see video!

Georgie enjoys her outside playtime in the playyard and walks good on a leash. She is housetrained and really bonds to her human. She is a sweet, loyal, and kind dog. Her favorite things include car naps, long walks, hikes, and movie nights. She’s quiet, house trained, well behaved and sometimes can be shy because she came from a very rough home, but every day she improves! Georgie wants to stick by your side anywhere you go and has a great attitude along with it.

She is still doing great. A little bit of alarm barking but otherwise quiet. She is NOT a fan of hyper dogs but is great with the resident dog, Windsor. She likes to move random things from room to room like moving the plunger to the living room, sleeping with my shoes in her dog bed while I’m gone, etc which is really endearing. She hasn’t ever chewed anything just likes to move things.

Although these dog has lived most of their life in conditions that no one should ever have to live in, these dogs are enjoying being able to learn to dog. They are full of life and hope. They need a forever that will help them continue to thrive and to learn how great it can be to be a dog and truly be a part of a family.

Each dog is unique and their personalities reflect that. They are learning crate training, house manners, potty training has been a lot easier than expected, and are enjoying human contact.

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
