Description:
Meet Cole Hi, I’m Cole! I had a hard life, but I am getting so much healthier and I am ready for my forever home. You should know I am a happy, cuddly, sweet and silly boy! I am usually wagging my tail and pounding out a beat on the great sounding trash can or one of my foster siblings faces. I think that is hilarious and give a big goofy smile. At first, my foster family thought I was mad or mean when I show my teeth, but I don’t have a mean bone in me! It is just my happy smile.
I love everyone in MN! If I really love you, I might jump a little. I like to hop on my front legs like a bunny and grin like a fool! But I am smart! At my foster family home, I haven’t had an accident in weeks. I go outside on a leash, on a walk and to the dog park and perform like a champ! I don’t pull on a leash. My harness is better, because my throat still hurts sometimes from my past life. I like other dogs, especially my current pack of muli-sized pups. Kids are cool, but what is a cat?
I LOVE to eat! I am still pretty skinny, so I don’t want to miss a single morsel of food and eat fast! I love treats and know how to sit and shake (usually). Now that I feel better, I will be learning more things quickly.
I will be super happy to see you when you come home, but I am fine my myself for a long time. I like to chew on a delicious bone. I will go in a kennel, but don’t need one. I stay in the kitchen, dining, family room usually. I love the porch and deck with a gate, but my pack and I like to bark at dogs on the bike path… tee hee hee. I do stop when told to NO BARK! I am able to jump on the couch and my human foster brother’s bed and cuddle with my pals and human brother now that I am stronger, but I am cool on the floor. When we are in for the night, if one of the family is in our hallway, I always wake up and sniff the door to be sure it is some I know who won’t hurt my human brother or foster sister pup. Need a watch dog? I have a deep bark that I can use if you need it! But I’ll usually be smiling, too….
I would love to have a forever family or person who will patiently help me become the best dog in the world I know I can be. Would you like me to love you and cuddle….
When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
