Meet Jake!

Jake is ready to go home!   He is a well-mannered fellow and is housetrained.   Jake actually enjoys his kennel.   He is crated when his fosters are away from home and for bedtime.
He likes hanging out in his kennel even when his people are home.    He watches the action with his head poking out the door!

Jake is very easy-going and laid back.   He isn't big on playing with toys or running around.   He does enjoy car rides and likes walking - he's an ace on the leash. He is great with people of all ages - Jake adores the 8 year old child in the foster home.

Jake has done everything he can to get ready for a forever home.   Now he just needs the right person to come along and see what a great dog he is.   He is a sweet and gentle boy who things he's a lapdog.   He will make a great family dog or for retirees with enough time for all the pets and cuddles he wants.

He is great with basic commands. He sits nicely, and you can say “kennel” and he will go right in. Quiet in his kennel. Loves walks.

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
