Meet Mimo!

Mimo is a sweetheart and is doing great in his foster home. He does well with outside potty as long as he gets a little time to check the yard thoroughly before taking care of business.

Mimo is enjoying the company of one little dachshund and one cat. All 3 are about the same size and sometimes they all relax in the foster's lap at one time.   He hasn't been around children, but would probably do best with older kids.

He doesn't mind his crate at all. He sleeps there at night in the bedroom his foster. If she's working on her computer, he'll go into the crate and take a nap on his own.   One day she left him crated for 7+ hours and everything was fine when she returned home.

When he knows she's leaving, he often cries but stops soon after she's out the door. He eats well and loves treats. When she tells him no, he immediately stops what he's doing and waits for more instructions.

The foster lives in a townhome, so she take the dogs out on leashes in the backyard and walks around there. He does fine. He likes to play ball in the house and, although he doesn't chase it, he does race around with the other two.

He loves sitting in his foster's lap and giving lots of hugs (yes, hugs) and kisses and even lays his head on the other dog as they nap. He's just a really sweet, loving dog.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
