Description:

Westin is a big friendly guy. He was adopted as a tiny kitten and is now looking for a new home. Wes loves to be near his people, get pet, relax on your bed and catch some sun. He is a pretty maintenance free guy- he is reliable with his litter box, not picky about food, and accepts attention and affection from pretty much everyone. Westin is still a bit overweight, but has been doing great on low cal cat food, and is slowly slimming down.

Westin can get a little hissy when stressed. For this reason, young children might not be great cohabitants for him. Older kids and people who know to leave a kitty alone when he tells you he is has had enough would be good match for Westin. He spends most of his time lounging in the bedroom of the teenagers in his house, where he enjoys video games and the company of the young humans in the household.

Westin doesn’t enjoy the company of other cats, after some some adjustment he is tolerant of respectful dogs. Westin would live his best life as an only cat, in a house seeking a dignified big dude as a companion.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
