Mona, has a truly winning personality! So super sweet, friendly, and loving!! So much love to give and get. She really likes to slink into your lap, climb on your chest and get snuggles. She is always trying to be as close to you as possible .She responds whistles and kissing noises super fast and will fly into your arms. She responds well to "No" and seems to be a very quick learner. She like stuffed animals and plays by herself- throwing and catching them. She would love to be with people as much as possible and be able to go on walks/ runs to get out some energy. She LOVES to play and often gets the “zoomies” she can make loops around our living room- jumping onto our couch from behind and them immediately flying into chairs and back). She jump REALLY high and would probably jump over most baby gates. We often jokes that she flies. She is a bit nervous around new dogs until she knows they are trustworthy. She is currently living with a older large dog but would likely enjoy a packmate her own size as well. She has met a couple young children and did well with them, but due to her small size she will be best suited in a home with older respectful children. Overall, she is a super sweet dog with tons of personality that would be a great addition to most any household.
When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
