Hi my name is Chaya, I'm looking for a new family to call my own. I used to have a family who I thought would love me til the end of time but I guess I was wrong.

One day I went for a car ride to a very scary, cold gloomy shelter and was left in a room full of strangers. The sad part about it all is I have no idea what I did to deserve that. Every day I shook with fright wondering if I was ever going to see the light of day again.

I currently reside in an emergency foster home with really sweet twin three year old girls and a fun little toddler boy who shares lots of cheetos with me. I love living with kids they share all of their toys and food with me and even let me sleep with them at night. I have to move out this friday to make room for other kids who are in great need of a safe place to stay. Do you have room at your house for me ?

UPDATE FROM CHAYA'S FOSTER: Chaya is the first dog I have ever fostered and she has been a treat. She is so beautiful everytime I walk her we are constantly being stopped by people so they can admire her.  Her eyes are amazing they are crystal blue and amber.  They change according to her mood.  She is so loving towards people and animals, I have yet to meet someone she didn't like.  She has play dates with a great dane/shepard puppy and a rat terrier pictured below.  She likes to play rough but knows how rough she can play with each dog.  She will be wrestling hardcore with the big puppy and when the rat terrier joins in she brings it down to his level of play.  Ideally I would like to see her go to a home with another dog as she is happiest when with them.  She does great with cats, my two have never lived with a dog and though they didn't like Chaya at first they have warmed up to her.  She will chase them when they run but only to give them kisses.  Chaya loves to give out kisses and cuddle on the couch with you.  She is a snuggle bug.  I would say she is moderatly active.  I kennel her all day while at work so take her for long walks in the eveing and she does fine with that.  She is housetrained, and leash trained.  Chaya is still a puppy though and does tend to jump and nip at your hands when she is excited.  We have worked on this and she is almost through with this behavior.  She is extremly clever so learns quickly she can sit, shake, stay, come, and down.  Chaya is an excellent addition to any household.
