Searching for my forever home!

Hi My name is JJ,

I was sitting in jail for a long time.....it got very lonely there. Every day I watched as new dogs came and went, then finally it was my turn! I'm just a young puppy and needed a second chance at life! I hardly had a first chance!

My daily activities at the pound revolved around my 4x6 ft kennel. I ate there, slept there on the hard concrete floor, and mostly had to go potty there. Some days I didn't get out at all. It wasn't much of an existence.

My really happy days were when I had visitors. I was temperament tested, and passed with flying colors! That was pretty fun. Then another day, I got to play in the lobby and get my pictures taken. That was pretty cool too. But, the best day of all was when I got to leave! I had to go right to the vet, because I'd caught a bug from one of the other dogs at the pound. Now, I'm healthy again, and am settling in to a foster home. Yay! Finally I'll be in a home again!

Now, I need to begin the search for my forever home. Can it be with you? I could get all excited when you come home from work....I could give you a big sloppy kiss in the morning when you wake up....I could take you out for walks to make sure you are getting your exercise....there are all kinds of good things I could do for you....if you only give me a chance.

I'm pretty smart for a young guy, I know how to sit already, and I take treats very gently. I get reaaaalllyy excited when I see cats, so it's not in the cats best interest to let me go to a home with cats.

I'm an AmPei, which is an American Staffordshire Terrier/SharPei mix. One of my friends in the rescue said he had a dog like me, and it was his best dog ever. I'm even named after him!

Can I be your best dog ever? I hope you will come see me soon and take me home with you!
