Meet Rolo!

Rolo will make a great addition to a loving home. She bonds quickly to her people and likes to cuddle. Rolo is generally good with people and is dog social, but she needs a proper introduction. She barks when someone is at the door or comes home at night, but she does not bark unnecessarily [except at MARS adoption events where there are lots of dogs and people]. Rolo knows some basic commands such as 'sit' and 'down' but still needs practice. She is well-behaved enough to go to the office during the day and sleep on the bed with her foster mom at night.

Rolo has the cutest curly tail and an adorable underbite. She likes to take walks (on-leash), chase squirrels, play with her toys, and snuggle. She also likes to chew, so having sturdy chew toys is a must, but she has quickly learned which things are her toys. Rolo has a lot of energy, so she needs to be in a home where she will be walked multiple times each day and someone will spend time playing tug or fetch with her.

Rolo seems to thrive with a regular schedule. She is fed at breakfast and dinner, and she poos every morning and evening during a walk. She only seems to pee and poo when she is out for a walk, simply letting her “out” may not be enough.

 Rolo would prefer a home where she is not left alone for long periods of time. A yard where she can sniff around and chase squirrels is a plus, but she would be fine as long as she gets to walk several times a day. She will also need some time and consistency to build trust that she is not being abandoned.
