Happy National Dog Day! Midwest Animal Rescue & Services is thrilled to be celebrating a day that belongs to the dogs! National Dog Day recognizes the number of dogs that need to be rescued each year, and acknowledges family dogs and dogs that work selflessly each day to save lives, keep us safe and bring comfort. MARS supports these ideals in it’s daily efforts to rescue, help and find homes for as may dogs as possible. We survive on and appreciate the help of our fosters, our volunteers and dog-lovers who have chosen to adopt a deserving dog and make him a member of their families. Police K-9 Microchipping -- Tuesday July 20th, 2010
In memory of Felony, the police dog who lost his life for lack of a microchip, Midwest Animal Rescue & Services will be micro-chipping up to 100 K-9 officers on July 20th at a conference being held in Albertville. The microchips are being provided free of charge to the officers that protect our communities and keep us safe. Puppy Mill Survivors! -- Thursday August 6th, 2009
Please help us greet our newest puppy mill survivors! These poor pooches have lived through conditions most people cannot even imagine. Their life has consisted of living in a box where they eat, sleep and go to the bathroom. Their only purpose in life was to produce puppies for the profit of the breeder. No love, no soft words or gentle touches..... MARS is excited to share a video of their release with you on our home page at www.midwestanimalrescue.org. We are excited to welcome them into rescue and ushering them into the next phase of their lives! We need your help! These dogs require extra medical care, i.e. dentals, surgeries, etc, as they have not received the type of care all dogs deserve.
