Spencer (AKA Charlie) loves to go for a jog at the lake, go on hikes, wrestle with other dogs, and learn new tricks!  He is extremely food-motivated, so he learns very quickly.  He knows lots of obedience commands-he even rings a bell at the back door when he has to go potty!

He is very kennel trained. He will go into his kennel with the simple actions of walking him towards the kennel and saying "IN".  We then give him treats and he does not make a peep.

He loves to play with his kong filled with treats. He'll throw it himself to try and get the treats out. he loves his bones to chew on.  he'll even play catch with his rubber bone. He goes to get his favorite bone when you tell him "go get your bone."  

He snuggles in his own way of putting his behind on the couch next to you but not the rest of him.

Spencer has a lot of energy and needs an active family.  He plays well with most dogs and would love a home with other doggie friends to play with.  He will also love a fenced yard to run in. 

Spencer bonds closely with his family, so he will need a family who can be strong pack leaders to show him that they don’t need to be protected.  He is a very sweet and smart boy. He would make a wonderful addition to a family that can give him the love and exercise he needs!
